After close to three years of writing, formatting, and proofing, Desert Siren is now available for pre-order at most major booksellers! I’m using IngramSpark, as I did last time, so if your local shop doesn’t have it ready quite yet, give it another few days to push through everywhere.
Hardcovers will be $24.95 and look gorgeous. Digital versions will be $5. The book releases on September 18, 2018.
I found out recently that this also happens to be the date of the next Cormoran Strike novel. I should be disheartened to go against J.K. Rowling, but instead I’m looking forward to getting really invested in Strike and Robin’s relationship in one of my favorite book series and then getting really mad when it ends on another cliffhanger between them.
In any case, this will be my first book in the Library of Congress, which is exciting. It’s standard practice for the Big Five, sure, but a major step for little ol’ me. This will also be the first time I’ve genuinely had pre-orders up for a book. Being the second book in a series might make it difficult to really push, but I’m hopeful. The goal is 250, as that will essentially mark it on internal lists among the major distributors and publishers.
To help with this, I have also lowered the digital editions of the first book, The Sky Thief, down to $1 for anyone that missed it or wants to catch up. There is a bit of a refresher in the first chapter of the new book, but it mostly goes straight into the story’s continuation.
If you’d like to pre-order, the main two links are:
Barnes and Noble (I don’t know why the image hasn’t updated here yet for the hardcover, but it’s the right one).
I hope you will give it a look. I’m actually making advertisements for this one, so they will probably bug you until you give in.
Happy reading! See you in a month!
